                            UNIT 3: Against the law 

GLOSSARY: 

Law: Rule or standard set by a higher authority to regulate, in accordance with the law, an aspect of social relations.

Lawyer: Person legally authorized to advise and defend the rights and interests of another person.

Judge: Person who has authority to judge and sentence and is responsible for apply laws.

Murder: Crime that consist in to kill a person..

Pickpocket: Person that stealing wallets and purses to pedestrians and use their ability to not be discovered.

Mugger: Person that assault or attack others.

Hooligans: Committing antisocial acts to cause discomfort or injury to others, especially in public acts. 

Hijacker: Who commits a kidnapping.

Handcuffs: Object formed by two metal rings linked together by a chain to hold wrists of the prisoners.

                                       GLOSARY 



Tectonic plates: One tectonic plate is a piece of lithosphere that moves as a rigid block without internal deformation  on the asthenosphere (upper mantle or outer) from Earth.

The World's series: The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball  (MLB) in North America, contested since 1903 between the American League (AL) champion team and the National League (NL) champion.

Ripple: Relief of a land on which elevations and depressions occur.

Running water: Drinking water that comes out of the taps of the houses. 

Flashlight: Portable lighting apparatus that works on batteries or electric batteries. 

Canned food: food products that are in a package which retains its physical and chemical properties for longer.

Windshield: Front glass of an automobile, which protects occupants when they are driving .

Harmful: That causes or may cause moral or material damage.
